Funtastic Friday

**
Spring is Here - well in Australia anyway and that means
it's time for some Sunshine & Apples....
How Hot and Sassy is this stamp - I vaguely remember
having a figure just like that.
~
So have you been enjoying all the activity around here
this week - how much fun has it been.
But guess what? It doesn't stop here, no definately not -
the fun and games have only just begun.
This week has just been a small taste of things to come.
Make sure you drop by daily - you never know what we'll
have in store for you.
**
**
My fellow Belles 'n Whistles Design Team members
and myself have been working very hard with all
these awesome new stamps. We've been stamping,
cutting, colouring, collecting embelleshments and
having an awesome time doing it.
However now I've got myself into a bit of a dilema.
I need to produce some more creations but you know
what, I'm fresh out of ideas.
That's right - I've got nothing.
So my friends this is where I need your help.
I'm turning to you for my next project idea - I need
ideas on Anything But A Card for this gorgeous
Sunshine & Apples stamp.
Tell me your ideas and the one that inspires me the
most will receive their very own Belles 'n Whistles
Sunshine & Apples stamp and I will be showcasing
the selected idea next Friday.
~
So what are you waiting for, leave a comment
with your ideas and who knows, you could be
the one to inspire me on my next project.
**
**
Well Summer told you there was going to be
plenty happening here at Belles 'n Whistles
and I'm sure you'll have to agree this week
has been a heap of fun.
Make sure you come back on Monday morning
for yet another week of excitement.

  2. Stunning card, Peta! I really love how you've used B&W for everything but the image - it really makes Sunshine and Apples 'pop' and showcases your wonderful colouring!

One of my fave 'anything but a card' projects to make is a Diaper Fold Pouch - it's so quick and easy! Instructions are on the SCS tutorials, and a piccie of one I made an age ago is on the tutorials page of my blog here! (along with some other projects I've made).

Have a great day! Hugs, Sem x

  3. Oooo I would make a cute little picnic hamper style gift box edged with lace and fill it with something yummy like fudge and then I'd make a gorgeous bottle tag to put on a bottle of apple schnapps to make a lovely autumn gift for someone! hugs, Jane x

  4. I can't stop thinking about a teacher gift since we only have a little over one term of school left in Australia. I think a little rustic tin with a handle and your gorgeous sunshine and apples stamp placed on the tin with matching ribbons on the handle (anything can go in the tin) stickers, soaps, pencils, gift vouchers.....and a matching sunshine and apples card would be perfect:) Just love this stamp!

  5. I think it would look lovely on a stationery set, you could do a pocket folder with hand made notelets and matching envelopes and include a matching notebook too. Hope it inspires you Peta.
    Happy crafting

  6. I just finished making a little basket out of card stock that I filled with coffee and biscotti. I used a wonderful template from Mel over at Mel Stampz, so that it looks somewhat like a purse. My image is a cute diva princess getting her lattes, so it worked out perfectly. but then I am all about the coffee, so that always inspires me! :)

so I can picture this on a little basket filled with apples goodies - apple butter, a yummy smelling candle, perhaps a muffin or two, and of course a little packet of apple/cinnamon tea to finish it off! :D

love the new things I'm seeing on the blog! thanks!

  7. I love all the ideas so far.......... my first thought was a gift bag, for instance maybe a package of those sugar coated apples that the packaging has the clear view so you can see into it- decorateing the package and having this little figure on the outside as she is carrying her backet. So cute. I will think some more though........

  9. Hum, what about a picture frame, decorated nicely with the image in the corner. Very nice card by the way and such a cute image!

  10. Fantastic card, Peta! Love those black and white flowers!!
I think this adorable stamp needs its own spotlight so a card would be perfect for it. But in addition to the card, a flower cart (from scol Pal) filled with apples would be make a great gift set.

  11. Beautiful card! My first thought when I saw the image and read your post was a calendar. I think making a calendar for someone makes a wonderful gift. A different page for each month with a different image on each.....this image would be perfect for one of the Spring or Summer months.

  12. What a beautiful card. What I love to also create are altered notebooks. From composition books to small spiral notebooks, I love it. I am sure my friends & family are tired of them, but this is something I really enjoy.

  16. This image reminds of taking a gift to a friend who is under the weather. I would wrap up some apples w/maybe some cookies. Then use this image as a tag for the basket. I would also take a small bouquet of flowers.

  17. Hi grogeous image and card!
When i first saw this image i thought of that saying "an apple a day keeps the doctor away"lol so maybe a you could make a get well soon card and gift to cheer someone up when they're not feeling well. You could make a lovely basket and fill it with some apples ad maybe a bar of choc lol.

  18. Such a lovely card dear!! I love everything about it! Want an idea eh?? Mmm let's think! How about a gift for someone? I'm seeing her as a top part of a notepad, where you make the image, with some notelets underneath. Then you use a magnet behind the image, and a lovely encouraging quote to matc. One can give it to a friend maybe, who will put it on the fridge, having some notelets handy.. and knowing you'r thinking of her! :)

  22. Adorable card. This is my favorite stamp from the release if it's possible to pick a favorite. She is so cute! Well I think she would be adorable as an altered notebook/clipboard or altered lunch tin. But she would be cute as earrings/key chain using shrinky dink (not sure exactly how small she'd shrink). Or coasters or what about making a trivit of her. I tried to post a link but it wouldn't let me so just go to Amazon and type in the search square trivit. Or even a white thick notepad and stamping her on each side and then get some apple dsp or coordinating color cardstock and making a matching RSVP pen. Fridge magent would be really cute too. Especially if you later and pop some of the elements like the umbrella. Ok I think I'm outta ideas.

  23. Ok, I got to thinking, what about carmel or candied apples! You could wrap them in clear wrap and attach a tag with her on the tag- so cute. Or what about those little drink holders- put a couple candied apples, a bottle of cider and some donuts and then decorate with the image- Oh I could think of alot to do with her. She is so sweet!

  24. Hi Peta! Gorgeous card! Love how the image just pops.

There's a lot of great ideas here. My suggestion would be to make a cover of a keepsake box? Where you can also keep old photos?

  25. Wonderful card <3
My english is quite bad and rusty, but I´ll try to tell you... hmm, I might like myself if I had a keyholder (right word?), you know, where your homekeys are. This image stamped on "shrinking plastic" (jessus I´don´t know these words :) -You put this plastic "thing" to oven and it shrinks there... this lovely picture inside hard plastic, then you put it on to your keyholder... I can see how you are having great laughs, reading this :)
I hope someone understanded what I ment :)

  26. such a pretty card with this gorgeous stamp - and I have this one! I think she would be wonderful stamped onto a scrapbook page alongside little girl photos. I like the candle idea too - I have a friend who makes them and she makes it sound so easy!
