Gingerbread Corner...YUMMMMMMMY!!!!

Welcome!! Welcome!! Welcome to Day 10 of the ongoing Belles 'n Whistles Advent Calendar event!!! I hope you are dropping by each day through December 25 to see the lovely Belles 'n Whistles holiday images and to have a chance at some very lovely giveaways each day!!

I present to you the absolutely darling Gingerbread Corner -- Little Belle shows you her cute gingerbread house fresh from the kitchen. I have made an easel card and a 3 candle centerpiece and hope you enjoy it!

As soon as I saw this image I was reminded of the many times I conducted tea parties for little ones and after all of the goodies and manners training I took them on a tour of the Gingerbread Houses at the National Gingerbread House Competition at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville NC. I'm sure that many of you have seen this event on Food Network or HGTV. But gingerbread houses always whet the imaginations of little ones and bring out the real MAGIC of the holidays for them! This image certainly touched my fondest of memories and reminds me of the MAGIC of the Christmas season!!!

Since this is a very short posting, I invite you to visit my blog for all of the details about this project and maybe for a bit of matching sweet stuff!!

For those of you that want the chance to win some Advent Calendar Candy - please use Mr Linky below. We would also like to hear about what puts the MAGIC in Christmas for you!! So please leave a comment also.

The winner of Today's Advent will be posted on the side bar, so please check back tomorrow to see if you've won! And check back everyday day through December 24 for your chance at winning one of Summer's great giveaways!!

  4. Wow this is totally gorgeous - adorable stamp and the little gingerbread men are so cute! For me the magic of Christmas starts when I start to see fairy lights all around ... esp. white ones .. they make the dull drab winter evenings so pretty!

  7. Just stunning creations Jacque. Christmas magic for me starts early I get just as excited as the kiddies in the run up to the season, seeing all the lights and decs around and the Christmas shopping and preps it all just gets me in the festive spirit and just watching the little ones getting excited opening their advents in the morning is wonderful and something so simple too. Sending you holiday greetings, take care Ann-Marie xxx

  8. christmas magic for me is when the stores close on christmas eve and the parking lots are empty and i can almost here a sigh of relief! then the houses start to lit up and driveways fill with guests and people greet each other warmly sharing christmas wishes and kisses!

your cards are breathtaking, the coordination of each detail does not go unnoticed!

  9. Magic - seeing everyone decorate their homes with lights, driving around to look at them all, kids excitment as it gets closer and closer, people who normally would not say a word to a stranger smile and wish a Merry Christmas, if only this could stay year round the world would be a better place. All the beautiful Christmas cards received, such as we see on everyone's blogs, hanging in a special place.

  10. Hi,
it´s a wonderful set you created and I like the bright colors you used. When I was a little girl we would go to the attic an bring a very old dollhouse down. It even had little lights in it and a christmastree. I used to put it up with my aunt and then play for hours and days.
Having this build up I knew the magic christmastime was here.

What a very cute card. Christmas magic? Mmm... frosty morning and extra treats for all the animals, Christmas stocking for my teenagers of a book and chocolate, lighting the fire in the evening and relaxing together

  13. Great card. I just love Easel cards. The part of Christmas that really puts the magic into christmas for me is preparing veggies on Christmas Eve. As a child I did this with my Nan in front of her coal fire and I get taken back too that age every time.

Sadly as an adult, I'm usually too busy on Christmas Eve and end up doing them on the day.

Thanks for these wonderful advent opportunities.
