We don't celebrate it here, but I had a lovely weekend, with some time to make this creation to share with you. I made it for a sister of mine, who celebrated her Birthday this month, and I made her this Cupcake card. What do you think about it?

Hearty Thanksgiving

Hello! I am one of the new girls in the Belles'n Whistles design team. My name is Audhild and I come from Norway. I am so happy to be a part of this team. Today I will show you the card I made for the design team call. If you have visited my blog or looked at my design team application, you have already seen my card.


I have used the stamp Hearty Thanksgiving. The image is coloured with distress ink, refillers.
I have sewed around the image and the pattern papers. The edges are inked with distress ink, vintage photo.

I have decorated my card with roses, leaves, a napkin, pearls and some tickets. I have added stickles on the roses and parts of the image.

Wishes Do Come True

Hello Friends!  My name is Elise and I'm also one of the new girls here!  Oh gosh, everytime I think about being a part of this lovely group ... I get tickled silly all over again!

I remember the moment I saw my name as one of the new DT's ... oh how I wish I video recorded it!  I was like a girl who just spent a whole day in a candy store ... and ATE the entire store!  LOL!  I jumped up and down, shouted with glee, my heart was pounding a mile a minute ... I mean, I looked like some crazy girl!  And my 3 year old son started jumping up and down with me, and saying, "Yayyyy mommy!  Yayyyy!"  And he didn't even know what he was cheering about!  LOL!  In the meantime, my hubby just sits and stares at us like, "Is this family MINE?!"  hehe!

Well, when I started thinking a bit more clearly, I knew exactly which stamp I'd use and what kind of card I wanted to make.  My wish had come true as being chosen as one of the lucky girls .. therefore I thought it was quite fitting that I use "Wishes".   Isn't she just ADORABLE!  I LOVE her!!!

This card was made for Summer and all the DT's.  Thank you ever so much for welcoming me into your lovely and never ending laughter family, and for making my wish come true!  I am honored beyond words to be surrounded by infinite sweetness and talent!!!

Oh look at this little cutie pie ... looking a little Marilyn Monroe-ish with her cute dress flipping up with the wind!!!!! And remember ... everytime you see a wishing well, a fountain, a wishing pond, heck ... any star in the sky will do too ... remember to make your wish, because ... Wishes DO come true!!!!!

Anyways after having temps in the 90's

yesterday I thought the image for today

was quite fitting!

She looks nice and cool doesn't she?

I just adore this sweet image and loved

coloring her in! I went again with

a shabby style and decided to go along

with our challenge this week and make

another card with handmade flowers.

This color combo is a bit different for

me but the papers were perfect!

I have used twinkling h20's and distress

inks to color Belle in.

Sunshine and Apples

Hi! I'm Gini and this is my first post as part of the Design Team! I am so happy to share with you a card made using Sunshine and Apples from Belles N Whistles. I live in the mountains of North Carolina, and apples are one of our main products. We have an Apple Festival every year at Labor Day - so this stamp just makes me smile!

I think I distressed this card every way possible - tearing, shredding, inking with distress inks, glimmer mist. I even distressed my ribbon that I used to make the flower, with ink and glimmer mist, to make it match my DP papers a little better. Don't forget to enter our DIY flower challenge at the BnW blog. Belle Watering!

Hey there, everyone! I am Andrea, one of the new girls here at Belle's 'N Whistles. I am so excited to be here and to be a part of this amazing group of ladies. I am already having a blast with these gals and look forward to getting to know you all, as well. For my post today, I have used an adorable stamp called Watering. I think she is so pretty! I wanted to go with something a little softer on this card, so I used some papers with delicate patterns and soft colors. I think purple and yellow are gorgeous together. I colored this adorable stamp with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. I have also added some Twinkling H2O's to the colored image for shimmer, as well as some glamour dust to the flowers to add a little sparkle. I added a bit of stickles to this little doll so she would shine! I hope you like her! Have a wonderful day, everyone!!

Shake It Up!!

Hey there!! I hope all of you are doing well on this wonderful Friday! Today I'm sharing a card using one of my favorite stamps from Belles n' Whistles called Beary Big Hugs. I just LOVE this stamp and this time decided to make a shaker card with it. I used to create lots of shaker cards when I first began stamping. One of the fun things about them is that you can add all kinds of things you want to be inside your shaker box.
Here's a different view of the card to show that I have added some dew drops in various colors to match the card.
A closer look at the image, and items in my shaker box. I also added some glitter and red beads. I plan to create more of them since it has been a while. For more details please stop by my blog.

A New Calendar Page - Belles 'n Whistles Style

WOW - Can you believe the month of May is almost over???  I can't - Where has the time gone?

We certainly have had a lot of stuff going on here this month, haven't we?  We have new DT members, and today I'm going to show you a new Calendar page for my Birthday Calendar.  Everyone is busy busy busy, so I don't think I have more than just my own to show you today.  Speaking of busy.....  You are definitely going to want to stop back here on Monday for something new to do....  =)  That's all I'll say about that for now!  ha ha

Alright, now on with this months Calendar Page:

May is usually a great time to start being outside more, and even serving drinks to those hard workers doing yard work, right?  So I thought I would use "Lemonade Anyone" for this months calendar page.  She's just such a little doll, and I have missed using her!  I love the bright cheery colors of the papers that I used, so I colored her to match, and added my punched flowers to the page.

I used a Martha Stewart edge punch for the borders on the yellow and the orange papers.  Isn't it just so cool?  I love that punch!  The letters that spell out the month, are stamps from Stampin' Up called "Notebook Alphabet".  My son actually stamped them for me, and then I colored them, and cut them out.  I thought they would look cool on little circles.  They really seem to pop out at you!  I love it!

I have to say, I'm really getting in to making these calendar pages.  I should just go ahead and do the rest of the months in the year so that I can finally assemble it!  But..... TIME.... Time is always a factor when it comes to things like that! 

Okay, I think I've said enough, if you want to create a calendar page, you can grab the template on the right side toolbar.  Don't worry about the month that is written there, it can be changed, or you can remove it completely like I did for this one.

Let´s have a drink

Belle is really enjoying the warm and sunny weather at her end of the world. She loves to be in the garden, sit in the sun and look at all the flowers that are growing in her garden. Can there be anything better?
But the sun made her thristy and so she went in her kitchen to make herself a fresh and yummy lemonade. Those lemons come from her garden and are just picked from the big lemon tree that also give such a nice shadow. Can you here the sound those ice cubes are making when touching the glass?

I didn´t use those typical summer colors on my card but "Lemonade Anyone" from the very first Belles´n´Whistles collection is showing everyting that makes a perfect summer day. That dotted flower was just perfect to go with how I colored the bow in her hair and could there be any better embellishment than some slices of lemon?

As always Belle is very generous and is going to share her cocktail with all of you. So, pick a glass before they´re all gone!

Still more gifts....

How are you doing all today? Well Anki talked about our ongoing challenge over at the combined challenge blog yesterday and that it is all about gifts this time. Anki you did a great job on your project and picking the theme for the challenge, I had a blast doing my gift bag. And because it was so much fun I decided to make another gift. This time I altered a tin can. It is one of the containers Prima flowers come packed in.

I used Tea Time as my image (part of it to fit my lid). I colored it using my Copics and did all the distressing with distress inks Brushed Corduroy and Bundled Sage. The flowers are from Prima and to add a little sparkle I used Stickles Stardust.

The DP is from Basic Grey's newest collection Capella, right now available at Roses on Paper. A few more photos and some info on the Copics used will be available a little later today on my blog here.

Hawaiian Time...

I did say that this post would come on Friday, May 14. And though it is already Saturday in many areas in the world, it is still Friday here in Hawaii. This posting is being done on what we locals here would say is "Hawaiian Time". Not only do I mean literally, by the time here in Hawaii, but I mean figuratively too. To be running on "Hawaiian Time" means that you are running late. So apologies to you all again, for my running on Hawaiian Time!

Gosh each of you submitted wonderful work! You've nooo idea just how hard it was to sift through all of the gorgeous entries and choose only a handful! Really! That's why, as with all of the TOUGH decisions, the task was left up to the Belles 'n Whistles DT! Thank you ladies! ;D

Decisions, decisions...

Well, I know there are many of you who are anxiously awaiting the results of the DT call. I thought I'd better get on here and post a little something!

It's May 14th, Friday morning here in Hawaii, 7:55 a.m. to be exact. I'm going to disappoint you all now by telling you that I'm still in the process of formulating all of our thoughts and that I'll be back online, later today to post the final results of the Belles 'n Whistles' DTs grueling task of decision making.

New Stamp Available in a few hours time

Yes! You read right!!


First of all Happy Friday!! Yes... TGIF again!! :) We all could do with a less tight day or two.. I definitely need it :))

BUT I know we Belles 'nd Whisles DT already have an excited weekend ahead of us!! The wonderful Elisabeth.. Bell of course, who else!! :) has offered us the opportunity to work with a NEW, DARLING, LOVELY, HEART MELTING digi image that will be released today Friday 14th at 6pm Arizona Time (for those in Europe and around it will be Sat, tomorrow 3am)


I had soo much fun colouring her, and Elisabeth adopted her straightaway! :) lol

Summer with Bronzing Beauty

Summer - that´s something we here in Germany can only dream of at the moment. It´s cold and rainy since a few weeks now and so I have to admit that I am a bit jealous when I look at Belle and that nice sun tan she got already. And can you see those freckles in her cute face? I just love them! And so she is prepared for another fun day under the sun - and of course she also brought her sun lotion and wears her nicest swim suit - you never know who you are going to meet!

The colors I used on my card were totally out of my comfort zone since I really struggle with those bright green tones - but I gave it a try and liked it! And the sketch was one, our very own Jacque created for the birthday challenge at Friday Sketchers. Hun, I loved it!!!

Our DT call ist now closed - and we will have a hard time picking the new members. WOW, you all amazed us with your work and all the FABULOUS creations you made. Thanks to each and every one of you for sharing them with us and entering our DT call! It was so nice to see Belle and her little friends on so many different creations and looks, colored in different styles and used on so many different projects!

Okay, and at the end: it´s father´s day here in Germany today. So, if you are a male stopping by here today: Happy Father´s Day to you!!!

Lazy Summer Days

Hello Friends and Happy Hump Day! First of all I like to remind you that today is the last day of our Belles 'n Whistles Design Team Call! If you haven't entered yet you can still do so till tonight! See all the conditions of application and enter HERE! 

For my card today I was inspired by the already nice and warm/hot weather we are having here in Florida.  So I decided to make a bright and summery card. And also one of my favorite card styles, an easel card, just love 'em.  The cute image is called 'Goggles' from Belles 'n Whistles latest collection Spring, Cleaning & Summertime available HERE. I colored the sweet little boy with my Copics and the DP is all Bo Bunny. 

Border Punch is from Martha Stewart and the Sentiment is from Magnolia which I got from Roses on Paper.

I set highlights with Stickles, Flower Soft and a Pearl Pen and added Jolee's and outline stickers to embellish.

A Birthday Wish From Belle!

Greetings everyone!  I hope you are well! 

Are you all getting those entries in for the DT Call?  I know we are all excited to see the creativity using these darling Belle stamps.  =)  Remember the deadline is Wednesday.  So hurry and enter, you never know, YOU could be the one posting here one day!  =) 

Okay, enough about all of that...  I have a sweet card to show you today.  I have to say that I tried so hard to come up with a new idea, but my mind just wasn't working properly.  (But then again, does it ever?)  LOL
So I decided to stick with creating a card!  I used "Tea Time" and tried to keep my card and coloring in soft hues.  If any of you know me and my coloring style, SOFT is not usually me!  LOL  So this was a tiny challenge for me.  I am quite pleased with the outcome.
 

I decided that instead of using several different DP's I would stick with just ONE print, and 2 shades of solids.  Also very much NOT LIKE ME! 

I had a difficult time matching paper in the teal color, so I simply inked some to match that teal using Stampin' Up ink.  Those became my border papers around the printed DP.  Oh Oh, and the little tabs at the top of the image are also inked paper strips.  I really love the way they look there.  So anyway, I used simple Beige and Brown textured paper from DCWV and a White paper doily that I inked with Antique Linen Distress ink.  The sentiment is computer generated, and the flowers are punched.

But Belle.... Dear Sweet Belle.... Doesn't she look like she's truly enjoying herself with her tea?  I know I would LOVE to have a stump like that to sit on, and just go sit and get away from all of lifes little stresses, and enjoy some tea and listening to the sounds of nature. 

But anyway,  now you see that a lot of extra embellishments were not necessary to complete this card, just a few basic things, and I have to say that this has got to be one of my favorite cards to date.  Maybe I should save it, and give it to myself for my birthday!  ha ha.... Imagine that? 

You know that reminds me.... I think I'm getting the short of end of the deal when it comes time for my birthday.  My mother always has me make cards for everyone in the family.  She sends them all, (Males & Females) my handmade cards, but when it comes time for my birthday, I get a store bought one..... What a rip off.... I think I'm going to have to protest!  ha ha

Okay, I guess that's all the blabbering I have to do for today, I hope you've enjoyed my card today, and don't forget, we'd love to see what you create using our sweet stamps.  You never know when your creation will show up in the spotlight!  =)
