Treasure the Memories

Hi Everyone and Happy TGIF! A friend of mine asked me if I could make a birthday card and kind of a favor box for her mother-in-law's birthday which is coming up in September. I know she love's everything pink, flowers and a bit the romantic style.

So I made an easel card and went all pink for our ongoing challenge 'monochromatic'. BTW there is still time till Sunday to enter!

I chose 'Clowing Around' because Belle is just too sweet in her clown dress and  perfect for a birthday card. I colored her with my distress inks and paper pieced the clown dress, then added some shadows using the distress inks to give it more depth.

The heart box is made after a tutorial I found on Kristens blog. I added lots of lace, roses and just a sentiment.

Thanks for stopping by and visiting us here today on the Belles 'n Whistles Inspirations blog. We always love to see what you create using the Belles 'n Whistles stamps so don't forget uploading your creations into our Gallery!

Have a great weekend!

Always in My Thoughts

Hey Friends!  Well, the week is winding down, are you doing anything special this weekend?  I think for us, if the weather keeps up being as hot as it is, we'll just try to stay indoors as much as possible!  My gosh, it's sooooo freakishly hot here ... either that, or my tolerance to heat is getting very thin.  lol!

Anyway, I've made a card using A Child's Prayer.  Ahhhh, she's so sweet isn't she?!!

I sure love her .. as I do all the other Belles 'n Whistles stamps!!!  And please don't forget to join us this week in our Monochromatic Coloring Challenge!  We'd soooo love to see your creations!  ;)
And I hope wherever you are ... you're staying cool in this hot hot summer weather!  Have a most wonderful day!

Hugs,
Elise

Hi! It's Gini, and today I would like to share a nice cool glass of lemonade with you! This has been such a hot summer, here in North Carolina - and at this very moment, I'm at the beach - so, I really would like this to wet my whistle! This stamp is called Lemonade Anyone? It really is one of my favorites (I know I say that about every stamp, but they all are really cute!)

So, I hope you can take a little time for yourself today - to rest and relax, and perhaps get out your BnW stamps and have some fun!

hugs,
Gini

Baby Fun

Love being on vacation since this gives me the time to try new things that I've wanted to try for a very long time.  So I coloured Little Eden with my copics and created a little baby card. DPs from Maja's Design (a Swedish brand) that I got at my local craft shop. Added a little lace and pearls.

Then I checked Maya's tutorial on how to create a baby pram out of paper.

Here's a close up of some of the details:

I will not keep you long - since I know that many of you are enjoying vacation as well - but here's the card and the pram together.

Hope you like it and that you get the time to create one as well.

Happy Anniversary card

Hello and Happy Friday!

A friend has requested me to make a flat Anniversary card. :) I made a trifold (?) card used Sweet Love for my image. The card when closed measures 3 1/4" x 3 5.8"

The circle frame and sentiment is Papertrey Ink. I used a Spellbinders circle die to cut out the center and added rhinestones on each side. I scored the edges using the scor-pal.

Background was airbrushed with R83. I applied red glitters on the heart she is holding. I removed/cut out the heart image in between them.

The inside is just plain. I used Papertrey's flowers as I wanted the whole card to have a clean look. I applied white glitters on the flower centers - used Quicky glue pen :) the length of the whole card is 11".

That's it - Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you may leave!
Have a wonderful day!

Love and Kisses

Good morning, everyone. It's me, Andrea! I hope you are all having a wonderful week. Today, I have used this adorable stamp from the new release, Belle with Teddy! She is one of the cutest stamps ever! I used really soft papers with her because she is so sweet! She was colored with Prismas and OMS and I also used a little chalk around her. The sentiment was stamped and then I added clear crackle paint and chalk on top of that. I also added some flowers, butterflies, pearls and crystal garland to fancy it up a bit. :) I hope you like her! I also wanted to remind you to be sure and enter in our Belles 'n Whistles challenge this week!! We really do have so much fun here and we love to see what you all create! Enjoy your day!

Sweet Dreams

Happy wednesday to all of you! I hope you are enjoying the summer and its warm and sunny weather! It´s still really hot here in Germany. So, when I was looking through my beloved Belles´n´Whistles stamps to see which one I´d use for the card I was going to make for today´s post I came across "Sweet Dreams". And a memory of my own childhood popped up in my head.

When I was a kid we a had a nice and big garden. I remember that when the weather was hot I took a towel and my cusion outside to the shadow of a big plum tree and laid down there for a little afternoon nap. There are photos excisting and on one of them I am lying there exactly how this little cutie is lying here.

And inspired by this memory I used a lot of green like grass and also added some flowers and that big nice butterfly as embellishments so it´s looking like she´s sleeping in her garden. At least you can imagine so if you know about this memory of mine.

It's Time For A New Calendar Page

Greetings everyone, and a Happy Tuesday to you all!  Can you believe we are already half way through the month of July?  Where is the summer going?    What do you think of the gorgeous work of some of the DT yesterday?  This weeks distressing challenge is going to have some awesome entries, I'm sure of that!  I know that we all can't wait to see what everyone will do with their distressing styles.  =)

Okay, anyway....I thought I would share with you another addition to my Belles 'n Whistles Birthday Calendar.  I used "A Merry-Go" from the most recent "Forever Young Collection" for this one!  I was just DYING to use this adorable little girl on the Merry-go-Round.  And I thought that she would be perfect for the Month of July.  Especially since July seems to be a popular month for carnivals and all those fun things that the kids just LOVE to do!

I'm sorry that I don't have more July Calendar pages to show you, our wonderfully talented DT has been super busy and didn't get the chance to join me.  BUT....  You can always make a page... or all 12 pages if you like... There is a place in Belles personal photo gallery for you to upload your calendar creations!  You all know how Belle just loves to collect your art work.  =)

Alright, so since today is the 20th, and we like to show you all a little Calendar inspiration around the 20th..... Here we go....  This is my interpretation of what a July Birthday Calendar should look like.

The nice thing about these blank birthday calendar pages is that you can use them year after year.
Pencil in the persons name that you want to remember their birthday, and re-use this birthday reminder calendar year after year.
If you'd like the blank template that we use, you can grab it over there on the right side bar.  Download it, and it's easy to alter, the month is just one click away from you changing it to whatever month you wish to have there, OR you can do what I did, and completely take it away, and add your text directly to your paper decorating area.  I really can't wait to finish all 12 months, and then have a gorgeous Belles 'n Whistles Birthday calendar to keep me up to date on who's birthday's are who's, and WHEN... Oh I've been so bad at keeping up with the birthdays this year....

For instance, last week was our dear Jodi's Birthday, and what?  I was late in wishing her a happy Birthday (typical of me lately) and yesterday was our lovely Rosettes Birthday, I did send her a message on Facebook but if Facebook didn't remind me, then.... it would have been another OOOOOPS!  You see why I need to complete my Belles 'n Whistles Birthday calendar??    I NEEEED IT!!!  =)  I'm sure I'm not the only one who needs something like this, right?  Come on, go ahead and admit it!  LOL

Anyway, that's all the nonsense from me today, I hope you enjoy my July page for my calendar, and I know that we would LOVE to see you use your adorable Belles 'n Whistles stamps to create your own. Oh and yes, Belle keeps whispering in my ear, she wants me to remind you that she is collecting your creations, she REALLY REALLY wants to see them in her photo gallery.  The link to that is on our side bar!  =)

Have a SPECTACULAR Day!  =)

A little princess

Happy Friday to all of you. Today I want to show you a card made with the princess stamp from the forever young collection. I just love these cute stamps.

The image is painted with distress ink, reinkers. I have inked the edges on the image and the pattern papers with distress ink "walnut stain". The card is decorated with a tag, lace, pearls and some roses. I have added sticklets at the roses and the image.

a thursday full of fun and laughter

Hello and a happy thursday to all of you! It´s so hot here in Germany - staying in the pool all day is the best you can do!

But I am not here to complain about the weather but to show you this happy little card I made. I made it for Michelle, a fabulous crafter most of you might know. She was injured by an accident on her farm a little time ago and lost one of her eyes. There are some challenges out there at the moment where people are sending her cards to cheer her up. I thought I might share this card with you - just in case you need a cheer up too. And if you don´t - who doesn´t have to laugh when looking at such a cute little clown. And everyone can need a laughter, right?

I used the really adorable "Clowning Around" stamp from Belles´n´Whistles´ latest release. Actually, I personally really don´t like clowns (sorry if you are one and I am hurting your feelings - but have a look at the card and it will cheer you up again!). I can´t explain why or can´t remember any bad memory I have about them - it´s just a fact. But when I saw this cute stamp I immediately fell in love with it - and it might be the only clown in my life I really love (beside my girls who can be very clowny too, but that´s another story).

Okay, so off to the pool I am again - wishing all of you a wonderful and happy day!

Thank You For All That You Do!

Welcome to Wednesday! We are half way through the week, but that still gives you plenty of time to join in the fun of our weekly challenge. Jacque designed a wonderful sketch for us, so I decided to use it for today's post.

I used Belle with Laundry. Now you may be thinking that I went kind of glitzy for Belle doing her chores, but in my strange sense of humor, I thought this was funny because the paper is My Mind's Eye Laundry Line! I just had to use it (plus I love this paper!)

I wanted to make this card to thank all of our loyal fans who do so much to show off our sweet stamps! We love seeing your creations popping up all over Blogland! And remember, you could win a BnW stamp of your choice by playing with our challenge. So get stamping!

hugs,
Gini
