Loving that Gingerbread!

Hi Crafter...Monday!isnt a good day to start the week or the other way? :) Well
i just hope you are doing fine despite the craziness over the black friday? (i
dont really know a lot about black friday but i believe it is drive people crazy
by shopping lots of stuffs with very good disc )

Well just to cheer your monday up..i have a simple card that i created using a stamp from
last year's holiday collection-Gingerbread
Love

I coloured the image use crayola crayon and blended it using baby oil. I just simply
love these adorable kids..

The paper is from imaginisce and flowers from wild orchird card

And here are the crayons that i used to colour the image.

I did apply the crayon twice as the first apply it will tend to give the very
light result.

Fa La La La La

Hi, it's Gini! Did you have a wonderful Thanksgiving? Are you still stuffed? I managed to make a card after our big family feast and just wanted to share it with you today. I used Belle's Carols (or at least part of the stamp) - I just wanted sweet Belle to fit in my circle, so I left her stuffed animals off of this one.

Are you getting excited about our Advent Calendar Celebration - you should be! We have so many fun things planned for you - and great giveaways! You won't want to miss it!

It starts to look a lot like christmas!

Well, at least at the north pole it is. Santa an all the elves are working so hard to get everything prepared in time. They are baking, crafting, making toys, reading whish lists... And since a few weeks the reindeer that are going to push the sleigh on christmas eve get special food. They need to be as strong as possible to be able to move the heavy thing - and it´s also filled with a big pile of gifts and Santa (who isn´t too lightweighting as you all know!).

I used the cute Jingle Bells stamp here to give you a little peak at what those reindeers get feeded with. I so love this stamp. Can you see how the little elve has to use something to stand on so he´ll be able to reach the reindeer´s head? Well, I am not sure if Santa is too happy about him using a nicely wrapped gift for that... but it works! ;o)

And now I am off to do some preparations my own...

Snow Angel

Hello all and Happy Hump-Day! Just one day more to go and the first of the holidays is here, at least for all here in the US! Are you all set for Thanksgiving? Or is the turkey hunt still on? I'm looking forward to a very quiet und relaxing Thanksgiving this year. Last year we had a big gathering and so it is nice to have it more quiet this year. And what about Black Friday shopping? Are you up to all this craziness??? LOL  Well I definitely know I WON'T!!! I'll never leave the house on Black Friday (well except to walk the dogs, go for a bike ride  or a walk on the beach of course) I really dislike all the shopping madness that is going on on that day. Well, but  that's just me ;-) Ok enough blabber...onto my card. 

This is the card I made for our ongoing challenge using the Snow Angel Snowbaby. The challenge is a combined sketch and color challenge this time and hosted by my sweet DT sister Anki.

I colored with my Copics and the little snow piles next to her feet I made using Aleene's True Snow sprinkled with fine glitter (MS). The DP is from Bo Bunny's Winter Joy Collection. The Sentiment is Cats Life Press. The large snowflake is a Marianne Design die and I added stardust sparkle brad from Karen Foster. The snowman charm and silver snowflake is from my stash.

Gingerbread Love

Happy Tuesday, all! This is guest designer Alice. I have a card made using the super cute Gingerbread Love to share with you today.

This has to be one of the sweetest images ever! I adore all the details and it's just so fun to color. I paired the image with some old holiday paper from Scenic Route. The sentiment is from Papertrey Ink. I kept the design simple since the image itself says so much about the joy of the holidays already!

Peek-a-boo

Hi, it's Gini here! It looks like the Bnw DT all really love our Snowbabies - and we didn't plan it, but we obviously love Peek-A-Boo Snowbaby - but can you blame us? Isn't she just so cute. I always think it is fun to see how differently everyone creates something using the same stamp. We would love to see what you make using Peek- A- Boo or any of our other Snowbabies. Dodging A Snowball!!

Hiya peeps! I hope your day is going well! I have made a card today using one of the new stamps from Belles 'n Whistles. I LOVE this collection. It is definitely one of my favorites. Isn't she sweet, hiding behind a snowman so no one can get her with a snowball?? :) I have such wonderful memories of playing in the snow in North Dakota as a child. We had so much fun growing up on our farm.

For my card, I have used some ribbon, ultra fine glitter, MS punch, various snowflakes and some pearls. The image was colored with Copics. I hope you enjoy your day and thanks so much for looking!!

Hi there, I thought I'd share a card that I made over the weekend.  This one is sooooo totally out of my normal style, but I just had to give it a try.  I love this image though, and thought that it was the perfect time to use it.  She's such a little cutie, as she's laying in the snow making a snow angel.  Of course her name simple.  She is called "Snow Angel Snowbaby" 

Just a quick reminder,  
The Snowbabies collection, is a collection with a cause! Everytime you purchase a Snowbaby stamp Summer will donate 10% of the proceeds to Breast Cancer Research!  Isn't that awesome?

okay I suppose I will show you the card I made.

Do you know why I say "I suppose I'll show you?"  Because I'm unsure if I like the outcome or not.  Okay Okay, I LOVE the image, and I love the snow boots, mittens, and hats paper, but really I needed to tie into the yellow shades there, and OHHHHH Yellow is just NOT my choice of colors to use.  But I can't really complain too much, The image alone really makes this card adorable.  What do you think?

The little details of this card are.....  the Snow Angel Snowbaby was colored with Copics, as is the background behind her.  I added some perfect pearls to give it a shimmered appearance as well as adding some white styrofoam ... yes that's what I said...  You know the styrofoam balls you use for crafting?  Well if you rub them together they leave a mess, but this mess works wonders for making things look like snow...  ha ha....

The sentiment is computer generated, and the snowflakes are punched from a Martha Stewart punch.  I just LOVE that snowflake punch.

Peek-a-Boo!

Hi all!
This is guest designer Alice. I have a card made using one of the lovely stamps from the Snowbaby Collection to share with you today.



I used the lovely Peek-a-Boo Snowbaby for my card. She seems to be in an intense snow fight to me. =) I colored and masked the image before I inked the piece with tumbled glass distress ink. I then stamped a background over it using the same ink. The patterned paper is from Memory Box and the sentiment is from Waltzingmouse Stamps.

Holiday Wishes

Hello everyone...hope you are doing well.i am trully happy that finally i will
get the chance to write a post on belle and whistle blog :) as a guest
DT.

I have created a card that might jazz up your creative juice :).

so here we go the card :

i have finally managed to get this stamp collection after a long waiting from
last year :) and trully happy to play with it.

This stamp is from holiday stamp collection- rockin
around (unfortunately it is currently out of stock-better keep checkin
incase it comes before xmas--you still have chance to play with it)

just a small thing to share...why i placed holiday wishes as sentiment? because
this card simply remind me when i was young i always want to have rockin
horse~~sadly i never get till now :(. well never mind...i still can take
carousel in the theme park isnt ? :)

Christmas card

Happy Friday to all of you. I have finally started making christmas cards. For todays card I have used a snowbaby stamp, snowbaby in snowgear, from the new collection. I have painted the image with distress ink, reinkers. 

 The text "god jul" means merry christmas. I have used different pattern papers for my card. The card is decorated with laces, different flowers, stickles, a piece of an old notebook and stickers.

Some More Christmas Inspiration

 

Hello everyone! Hope you are all doing well! I just can't resist those super cute Snowbabies at the moment. I'm totally in love with them..LOL  So I thought I make another Christmas card to show more Christmas inspiration. This is actually a pretty simple layout of the card but I liked it.

Also those papers were perfect for it. Luckily I found some scraps in my scrap box that match the colors of my image. Because this time I did what I usually never do...I colored the image without having my DP chosen. aaaahhhh. That is not me at all. I always pick my DP first and then start coloring.

I colored Belle with Copics and airbrushed the background a little. Isn't she cute with her slightly cross-eyed look? Using a glitter pen I put lots of soft shimmer accents on her and I also used a lot of  Star Dust Stickles all over the card.

And don't forget that this collection of the Snowbabies is a collection with a cause! Everytime you purchase a Snowbaby stamp Summer will donate 10% of the proceeds to Breast Cancer Research!

A Hearty Thanksgiving

Hello everyone!! It's been a while and I hope all of you are doing well! Today I have decided to share a card I created for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday using one of the cutest images of the season called Hearty Thanksgiving. I really have not seen any cute stamps out there that really showcase and celebrate Thanksgiving so this is a favorite of mine to use at this time of year.

This is a tent card I created for a challenge blog, I love the 3-D look and the ease of mailing and having the card stand freely on it's own without falling over.
Here's a side view of the card so you can see how it stands nicely on it's own. I hope you like this card just as much as I had fun making it!! Although this is a Thanksgiving card, don't forget that we have the latest and cutest Christmas stamps from the Snowbabies Collection up for purchasing now!! Enjoy the day!

Since our american friends are celebrating Thanksgiving this month I decided to make a little thank you card to share with you.

There is so much we have to be thankful for - but most of the times we only see what is missing, what is going wrong, what could be better. So I think we all need to take a second and think of what we have and are. And I am sure we will all be thankful for all the good that happened and still happens in our lives.

I used "Every Belle" on this card and put her in front of the table from the "Table and Gift" stamp set - both from the Changeabelles Collection. And since I always think of one of those traditional pies when I think of Thanksgiving - what may be a miss-thinking of a german girl though - I just inked up the pie Belle is holding on the "Warm Apple Pie" stamp.

Cozy Winter Nights

Welcome fellow Belles 'n Whistles Friends! It's Monday and time for another fortnightly Belles 'n Whistles challenge over at our BnW Challenge Blog! Our wonderful Kathrin, who's hosting the challenge this time, came up with a great theme: Cozy Winter Nigthts.
She wants us to use 'cozy stuff' like felt, velvet, flower soft, fun flock etc. Whatever you have handy to create a 'cozy' effect on your project.

 

The stamp I used for my card is called 'Snowbaby Peek-a-Boo' from the new Snowbabies Collection and available HERE . To create the cozy effect I used some polar white Flower Soft for the snow. The image was colored with Copics and the DP is from Basic Grey and Heidi Grace Designs. The poinsettia was made with a Bosskut die and a Marianne Creatables die.

Snow is falling....

Hello all and Happy TGIF!, It's Iris here today. For my card I used one of the new Snowbaby stamps right now available in the store! This one is called 'Snowbaby Catch-A-Flake'. Isn't she just too cute? That so reminds me of my childhood! And remember if you buy one or more of these cuties you also support a good cause!!! Read all about it HERE

As usual I colored her with my Copics (some accents where added with Prisma Pencils black and grey tones). The sentiment is one of 5 digital seasonal Sentiments available with any purchase at the store for FREE! DP is Basic Grey 'Jovial'. Snowflakes and stars are Cuttlebug dies. Border punch is from Fiskars. Roses from my stash. I also added lots and lots of Stickles to the flakes and stars to give them a frosty glimmer.

 

To create the snowy effect around her feet I used Flowersoft.

Time to celebrate

Hej!

This is the day.....

Greetings!  Boy it feels like an eternity since I posted here.  I don't think I posted at all last month.  But now that things have settled down a little bit, I am back and in full swing of things.

Today I have a cute little desk top calendar to show you.  Whatever you do, please don't ask for a tutorial, because I don't know that I could possibly do this one again.  ha ha....
This was just one of those things that I sort of created as I went. 

Okay, so rather than trying to make a tutorial, I'm going to try to explain just what I did.  LOL

This was made from a piece of foam filled poster board.  It measures 6" x 6" on the front and back.  The way I cut it so that it stayed in tact and was able to fold, was to NOT cut all the way through the foam board.  I then wrapped the light green paper around it.  Sort of like a gift.  The base of this calendar is 2.5 inches, and is still attached to the main pieces.  Once the papers were covering the foam board, I used heavy glue to fill the seam, and let it dry over night. 
Of course the front was decorated just as any card front would be decorated, and I added a small calendar that I had found in a dollar store.  Not bad for spending only a dollar, right?

One of the things I did with this was to add little teeny tiny glass beads, just for a little something different.  I added the sentiment "This is the day that the Lord hath made" because I thought that would be perfect for this type of calendar. 

I will be giving this to Sister Mary Thomas, who just so happens to be my boss at the school I work at.  She already has one desk calendar from me, but with a new year coming, she will need a new one!  =)

Snowbaby snowangel

Happy Monday to all of you. I hope you had a nice weekend. Today I am back with another card. I have used one of the new wonderful snowbaby stamps. This one is called snowbaby snowangel. I have started making christmas cards, and I am sure that I will use many of the snowbabies on this years christmas cards. I have already painted a snowbaby in red. I will show you the card some other time, when it is finished.

Back to todays card. The snowbaby is painted with distress ink, reinkers. The edges are inked with distress ink, walnut stain. I have used 3 different papptern papers. The border is  made with a punch. I have decorated my card with flowers and snowflakes.
