Redwork Card

Hi, it's Gini. I thought that I would share the card that I made for the current BnW challenge. We were supposed to use a heart and something we love. This is my favorite Belles n Whistles stamp -ever! Sisters. It reminds me of my little sister that I love! I've also always been a collector of vintage textiles - so this card is reminiscent of the old Redwork embroideries. You still have a few days left to play in this challenge. Have a great weekend!

Vintage Love

Hey everyone, looks like a lot of us are under the weather these days and unfortunately that includes me. Because of that I just have no energy to create a card so instead I went searching in the gallery to see all of the awesome creations and stumbled upon this one! This beautiful vintage card was created by Vanja!!
I love the vintage look, her beautiful coloring and sentiment. This adorable image she used is called Beary Big Hugs and it also just happens to be one of my favorite Belles n' Whistles stamps! Keep on adding your cards to the gallery, we'd love to feature you too!

Spread a little happiness.......

Good Morning!!!
Sorry I am a little late!
My hubby is sick and the computer is in our room!
He went to bed at 6pm and I didn't want to wake him.

Anyways for today I have decided to make a Springy card!
We have been having some lovely weather here in Texas and
I hope it stays! I have used this adorable image, Watering,
which I think looks springy.

I have again created it a little shabby chic. Alot of white mixed
with the other colors is my favorite look. I have also added distress
crackle paint to the edges. Had to throw a little lace on
there as well as a glittered up flower. The shabby crinkled
ribbon is also a nice touch for the shabby chic look!
The image was colored with distress inks and twinking h20's.
I also used my white gel pen for accents.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope where ever you
are the weather is not to bad!!
:)Kathy

An Edgy Flower Tutorial!!

Happy Tuesday friends!!  Hope you're doing well!  It's time for me to show you a tutorial today!
So I'd like to show you a way to make a fun "edgy" paper flower!  So Let's get started:
Here are a few things you're going to need to have ready:
1.  a couple of strips of decorative papers 12" long by 1" and another strip 1 1/2" wide
2.  Your choice of border punch
3.  a 1" card stock circle with a hole punched in the middle of it
4.  some liquid type glue that will dry clear

Step 1:  You will need to border punch one side of each 12" strip of papers
Then you will need to add the liquid glue to cover the circle card stock piece

Step 2:  Press the end of the wider strip of decorative paper at the edge and just above center of the hole in the middle of the glue circle card stock piece.  You will start to make pleats with the strip around the hole while pressing it down at even widths to complete the circle.

Step 3:  Trim off any remaining strip and attach the ends together.  You can now use the other strip of decorative paper to form a small flower to layer on top of this one.  Then you will need to attach a brad through the center of the pleated flowers to hold it in place.

And when you've attached your brad, here's what the completed "edgy" flower will look like.
It is now ready to add to any creation....and although this appears to be a bulky type of embellishment, it doesn't hurt it to be pushed down on.

And here's what my "edgy" flower looks like when added to my card!  I've used this really happy and sweet darling Belles 'n Whistles image called Clowning Around.  It seems that I haven't been the only one lately who's been feeling a bit ill, but several of my fellow teamies and blog friends have not been feeling so well.  And what better way to cheer someone up than with a happy colorful creation!!  The flower reminds me of the clowns with the water squirting out of them! LOL!!

So if you'd like to see a larger photo of my completed card and details about the challenges I've entered this into, then please visit me at my blog HERE!  Thanks so much for stopping by!! I really hope that you've enjoyed my tutorial and will try an edgy flower for yourself sometime soon!! HUGS

Hello! Welcome to today's posting...

Kitty Love was colored with Copics then cut out. Cut my tag and sponged the edges with Distress Inks. Stamped my sentiment then adhered the image on top. The back portion has been sponged too and I will be writing a personal note on it ;) I've made the twine longer so it can extend out of the book and I added some beads on the ends.

Thank you for stopping by and please join us on our latest BnW Challenge,
Create any card/project with a heart on it...

You can use any Elisabeth Bell image from any company but BnW images gets double entry! ;)

Waiting for summertime

I know it is a long time before it is summer, but I am looking forward to it. Today it is snow and cold outside. A perfect day for crafting and dreaming of summer. I have made a card using stamps from the changeabelles collection. I have masked 2 stamps together: The gathering place and the fishbowl. The image is coloured with distress ink, reinkers.
Happy Monday to all of you. Remember we have a new challenge in the BnW challenge blog today.

Springtime Wishes!

Hi, it's Gini and I thought I would share a spring-time card with you to chase away your winter blues. I used all kinds of colors of Flower Soft on this Wishes Stamp from Belles n Whistles. Adding different colors of Flower Soft for flowers and leaves, really gave the illusion of wildflowers.

A baptism card

Today I want to show you a baptism card made for a little girl called Juliana. A friend of mine ordered the card for her niece. Isn't this stamp perfect for a baptism card?

The stamp I have used is called sweet dreams, it is from the forever young collection. I have coloured the image with distress ink, reinkers. All the edges are inked with distress ink, walnut stain, and sewed.
I have decorated the card with roses, a flower, laces, pearls and a tag.
