This month is all about "Clowning Around"

Happpppy Tuesday!!!
Here we are, the last day of August, and I can't believe I almost forgot about this months calendar page. I'm going to keep this post short and sweet....

I have been faithfully creating a Belles 'n Whistles Calendar page each month.  By the middle of December I will have it completed.  Hmmmm, maybe just in time for a Christmas gift for someone.  I used the template that is provided over there ====>>> on the side bar.  And I went to town on creating this months page.

I wanted to use little Belle "Clowning Around" one more time before Autumn really gets started.
So without further adieu, here is my August Calendar page.

You can find this and several of my other calendar pages from previous months in Belles Photo Gallery.

I feel funny that mine are the only ones there.... We would love to see what some of you can come up with, and enter it in the gallery.  You all know how much Belle really loves to browse through her personal album, don't you?  She would LOVE looking at your Calendar pages.  =)

Thanks for stopping by today, and checking out this adorable little clown!  =)

Going Green

Hello everyone!! Sorry about the very late posting for today but things have really been hectic and crazy. Anyway I have not visited the gallery in a while and decided to take a peek. I just had to feature this adorable card from Cheryl! I love the shades of green she chose for her card, I rarely use shades of green just because it's a color I have a hard time working with.

She did a wonderful job with the colors, and all the different embellishments in that color. This cute image is called Little Eden with Teddy. She is from the latest collection called Forever Young. Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!!

Summer is Almost Over, and I just had to share....

Hello everyone, are you all feeling like all of the normal "Summertime" fun is soon coming to an end?
I found a way to keep that Summer Fun close at hand.  I created a card for a co-worker who had to spend a couple of weeks in the hospital, after some pretty serious surgery.  I didn't want her to feel like she was missing out on the typical fun things that go on during the summer months.  And I knew JUST the thing to cheer her up!

This card certainly did the trick!  Circus Clowns, and County Fairs, oh and even State Fairs are all part of the "fun" things that go on during the summer months, and this little cutie was just DYING to be shared with someone who was stuck inside recovering from surgery!  I know you've all seen this darling little Belle "Clowning Around" before, but honestly, this is the first time I've used her.  I actually made this card about a month ago, but have been saving it for my post here today.

She was LOADS of FUN to color, and I had a blast picking funky clown like papers to go with her!  Boy does this image make me feel like a kid again!  I LOVE IT!  I think I have to say that this is one of my favorites from The Forever Young Collection!  How could it not be?  She's so STINKIN CUTE I just want to scream!  LOL

Alright, so I've babbled on enough I think.  I hope you got a little childhood memory from looking at this fun and crazy card!  I know I do!  I love looking at cards that just seem to make me feel good inside!  This is one of them!  =)

Forever Young ~ A Merry Go.....

Good Morning!!
This image just screams Summer to me
and we are holding on to the last moments of it!
Last night there was quite a chill in the air so I know
Fall is on its way!

Doesn't she just look like she is having the time
of her life!! LOL Just adorable!
I wanted to add this star to the top so to make it
match I grunged up my horse a bit! I added crackle
accents to it and then went over with my sponge
and Vintage Photo distress ink! (I went a little over board though!)
I also added some crackle paint to the edges. I have used
Picket Fence.  I added some stickles to the pole and the
horses blanket as well! The flowers are also glittered up!

The challenge this week is an easy one so I hope to
see all your creations!!
Thanks so much for stopping by today and have
a wonderful day!

Carousel Fun

Hi everyone! Today it is my turn to post a little something on the Belles 'n Whistles blog. So, I have made a card using this cute carousel stamp. Seems like a fun summer thing to do... can you believe summer is almost over and that school is about to begin? Anyhow, I have colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS. For embellishments, I have used flowers from WoC, strand pearls, ribbon and regular pearls. :) The papers are from my stash and I really like the softness of them.
Also, be sure to join in on the fun and play along with our challenges. They are so fun and their is always a cool prize to be won! Have a wonderful day!

Rockin´ Around

Short time ago I joined a challenge and we were asked to use a song to get inspired for our card. Well, I went through my stamps and when I saw this little cutie with her bestest friends immediately the song "Rockin´ All Over The World" came to my mind. I know, they are singing of a different kind of rocking - but I liked the idea. And so I created this card.

I love to use those christmas stamps all year long - and of course not only for christmas cards. You have to look very close to realize those holly leaves - and if Belle is just a little bit like me she´d never put them off since they seem to be part of the gift. And so I can imagine those 3 are on their way all around the world... Would be curious to know which places they visited and what adventures they have gone through.

So, I am wishing you some great adventures on your journey through the day!

Hello all! Well I can tell I am looking forward to the fall season already. Anki is already trying to get us in the mood for it with the challenge theme she chose for this week. And because I also love fall and Halloween I chose to make a Halloween card using this super cute Belles 'n Whistles witch called 'Little Witch With Broom'. I colored her with my Copics and kept the whole card pretty simple this time.

The DP I've used is Eerie from Basic Grey as is the brad with the spider.

Do you also looking forward to the fall season? So why not entering our challenge this week! We are looking forward seeing your stunning creations! And don't forget uploading your Belles 'n Whistles creations into our Gallery!

Love & hugs,

Challenge "Warm colours" - Change from Summer to Fall

It's Monday again and we have a new challenge for you. Don't know if Fall is on it's way where you live - but it certainly is here in Sweden. Yesterday we were very brave and went to the beach with my sister's and families. Well - I would not say that I would stay in the water for hours - but at least I went in ;-)

Today it's my turn to host the BnW challenge and I would love to see your creations using warm colours - the colours that you think of when the season is changing from Summer to Fall.

Before I show you what the team has created - I should of course let you know who the lucky winner from last weeks challenge - Lilac/Purple - is (picked by random org).

Ta-da--------the lucky number is no 7 - Melanie Jane
Congratulations! Please email Summer with your details so she can send you your delicious prize!

Remember you must use a Belles 'n Whistles stamp to qualify.
Here are the wonderful cards that some of the DT have made to help inspire you:

You´ll have until next Sunday, August 22nd, to enter your creation. Rememer - you must use a BnW stamp to qualify.

Fancy Friday

Hi Everyone And A Happy Friday - even if it is Friday the 13th...LOL! Are you superstitious? Well in some cases I am but not with Friday the 13th! :-)

Well the card I am showing you today is a Christmas card...yes Christmas in August! I try to get started on my Christmas cards early this year. What about you? Did you already get a head start on your cards as well?  So I thought I make it a Christmassy Friday here :-)

I used the lovely stamp 'Two Turtle Doves' from last years Christmas collection for my card and colored her using my Copics.

The DP I've used is from last years Basic Grey collection and it was the first time I used my Spellbinders star die. The sentiment is from a Martha Stewart clear stamp set and the swirls are cut out using the new Magnolia Doo Hickey swirl dies.

Here is a close up on the image. I also did some airbrushing around it. I really love the color combination on the DP and had so much fun coloring my image accordingly! Something different than the usual Christmas colors!

So I hope you liked my little trip into an early Christmas time. And don't forget we want to see all your wonderful Belles 'n Whistles creations - share them with us in our Belles 'n Whistles Gallery!

Have a wonderful weekend all and I hope to see you Monday again when a new Belles 'n Whistles Challenge is starting right here on our blog! You still have time to enter our on going Lilac/Purple challenge til Sunday!

Hello!  I'm back here again, this time with an image from Belles 'n Whistles Forever Young Collection.  This image Little Eden reminds me so much of time flown by.  I see this little girl, and I think of how much my little boy has grown.  He'll be starting preschool in a few weeks, and whew ... I am surely going to miss my little guy!!

It seems like just yesterday he was beginning to crawl and sit, and now ... he's running around like a little maniac playing pirates, cars, and swords.  hehe!  Wasn't it just yesterday I heard him "coo"?  And today I hear him say full sentences ... that sometimes doesn't quite make sense ... but I know it has depth and meaning to him.

I tell ya ... having this wonderful Forever Young collection really makes you look at things a little more closely.  It makes you appreciate the time you have with your little ones .. because you KNOW how time flies.  And then it makes you appreciate your OWN time here, because you remember things from your own childhood and you know every day, will be a day your child will look back upon also.

Alright, well here's the image which brought on all this heavy thought, LOL:

I do hope I'll get to see you all in our current challenge that our lovely Rosette presented of Lilac/Purple!!!  How yummy is that?!!!  Can't wait to see what you whip up!

A Merry- Go

Hello friends! I'm back with another card. This is the last week of my holiday. It is not sun outside therefore I have spent many hours at my crafting room. This is one of the cards I have made. I have used the stamp A Merry-Go from the forever young collection. The image is painted with distress ink, reinkers. The edges are inked with distress ink and sewed. I have used 3 different pattern papers on my card. It is decorated with flowers, leaves, a lace and pearls. I wish you all a wonderful day and hope you will participate in this weeks challenge

Mom's Little Helper......

Good Morning!!
Usually for my post I play along with the
challenge, which this week is purple/lilac,
but I didn't have any matching paper!!! Can't
believe it ~ must fix that problem!!

Anyways I decided to go with some new papers that
I got.  They have a cooking theme so I
went with Tania Baking.

My 7 year old has been helping me so much
this summer!!  Every day she begs me to
bake something!! LOL We have baked just
about everything!!  I really wanted to make
a card for her and this image fit the bill
perfectly don't you think???

Again my image is colored with distress inks and
twinkling h20's! I wasn't totally impressed with my
coloring as the girls were playing with my brushes and
the bristles are all crazy now!! LOL

Well thanks so much for stopping by!!
Don't forget if you play along in the challenges
we would love to see your creations in the
Belles and Whistles photo gallery!!
Can't wait to see all your purple creations!

Happy Monday to all of you! Here we are again, I hope you are all having a wonderful Summer.  Another week has passed and it´s time for yet another new challenge. Congratulations! Please email Summer with your details so she can send you your delicious prize!

Rosette's challenge this week is to use Purple/Lilac/Lavender  - basically any shades of purples....  Let see what you can do with this gorgeous color challenge.  Remember you must use a Belles 'n Whistles stamp to qualify.  And if it isn't too much trouble, BELLE herself would love for you to share your creation not only here, but also in her own personal photo gallery.  *wink*

Sweet dreams

I just love the Forever young collection. Here is another card I have made with one of these beauties. I think this stamp is one of my favourites. You can use it for a boys or a girls card. This time I have made a card for a sweet little boy. The image is coloured with distress ink, reinkers. All the edges are inked with distress ink, walnut stain, and sewed.

I think it is difficult to make cards for boys/men because I feel I can't decorate it with flowers. But since this is a babycard I thougth I could use flowers. I have added stickles to the flowers. The leaves are punched out with a Martha Stewart punch.
I wish you all a happy weekend.

A Sweet Baby...

Hi there! I hope you are all well. The week is almost over... can anyone say WEEKEND?? :) For my card today, I have used this adorable stamp from the latest Belles 'n Whistles collection. Isn't she a sweetie?? I love the background paper. I usually use papers that are so girly, and this one is just a bit more subtle.... it is a nice change. So, I used a Martha Stewart border punch for the edges, added some string pearls, rhinestones, ribbon, and flowers for embellishments. The image was colored with Prismacolor Pencils and OMS, as well as some Twinkling H2O's. I also used chalk to make the background color. I hope you all have a wonderful day and a perfect weekend!
Hugs to you all~

A summer card

I hope you all have a wonderful summer. I have made a summerish card with this cute little girl. She is sitting here in her dress waiting for something fun. The stamp is from the forever young collection.

I have coloured the image with distress ink, reinkers. All the edges at the image and the pattern papers are inked with distress ink, walnut stain, and sewed. My card is decorated with roses, a doily lace and charms.
I hope you come back to visit our blog tomorow to see more projects. I also hope you will participate in our weekly challenge.
