Spring is In The Air

Good morning everyone!  I thought I'd share what I have created for the challenge that just started today over on the BnW Challenge Blog.  The theme there is Spring is in the Air, and I couldn't have picked a better stamp to use.

I've been digging into my older Belles 'n Whistles Stamps, simply because I sometimes feel that some of my old favorites don't get as much attention these days....  Every stamp that is designed by Elisabeth Bell is absolutely precious in it's own unique way, and I always have such a hard time to decide what I'd like to color.  This time around, I decided to color "Li'l Miss Poppy".  She was one of the very first stamps released by Belles 'n Whistles....  Poor Li'l Miss Poppy was feeling neglected and was just dying to be inked and colored.  =)

I really wanted to stick with the blue/yellow color combination, simply because I really don't use it that often, but it's a very pretty combo, don't you think?
I went crazy with the distressing, I just couldn't help myself here.  I've used my copics for coloring this little cutie, and some distress inks around the edges of things.

I hope that you've been inspired, and want to dig out some of your older Belles 'n Whistles stamps and come over and play with us this month for the BnW Challenge - "Spring is in the Air"

Even if you don't have any older BnW stamps, of course you can play with us anyway, as long as you are using a stamp that Elisabeth Bell has designed...  All EB Designs are welcome for the challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by today  =)

Bringing a Little Sunshine Your Way

Good Afternoon Friends,  boy there is nothing like being late.  I swear that everything I've done today I've been behind... or running late.  I think if my head were not attached to my shoulders, I'd lose it.  ha ha

I have a card to share with you today, and I should have had my post ready to go early this morning, but nope.... not this time.  I'm sorry for my delay....

I have been LOVING working with Lavender colors the past week or two, I don't know what it is, maybe just a feeling of Spring Time has taken over.

I've used "Pretty in Patches" from Belles 'n Whistles SweetArt Girls II collection.  She's currently out of stock there, but it is possible that you can still find her at other places such as Simon Says Stamp or 7 Kids College Fund.

Isn't she just adorable?  I love her big bows, and large sun hat.   I couldn't resist adding a touch of yellow to these shades of purple, just for a little contrast.

Are you feeling a little bit of Springtime Sunshine yet?

Thanks for stopping by today, once again, I'm sorry for my delayed post.....

good bye....

Happy monday dear Belles'n'Whistles fans!

Well, after Vicki's "hello" posting last friday I just had to name my post "good bye". And I am writing this with a very sad heart.
You might have noticed that I haven't been around much lately and after a lot of thinking I have decided to step down from this wonderful team. I have been a DT member from the very first stamp BnW brought out and I so love these wonderful Belles'n'Whistles images, the amazing group of ladies and of course our lovely Mama Summer and so this is very hard for me. But you know, sometimes life changes and we have to make our way of living match the new circumstances.

So I am sending out a huge thank you to each and every one of our readers,
to you Summer, for being such a sweetheart all the time and for having given me the chance to be on this wonderful team and play with these adorable stamps you brought out to all the stampers,
and to all of the amazing ladies from this team that soon became like a little family and that will always be in my heart and my mind.

I am saying good bye with a card that I used "Pretty in Patches" on. I thought this image matches the occasion because she seems to look a little sad...

I promise to be around so for sure we'll meet each other again in blogland.

Biggest hugs,

Christmas card

I know it is long time until Christmas, but I have made a christmas card.
Last year I made 3 christmas cards each month, and I was so happy in December, because I had finished my cards.
This year I have decided to make two cards each month. Hopefully I can make it.

For this card I have used a beautiful image from BnW 2011 christmas collection.
The cute little boy is colored with distress ink, reinkers. I have also added stickles, star dust.
My card is decorated with laces and flowers.
I have used a Martha Stewart punch to make the snowflakes.

Thank you for visiting us.
Hugs, Audhild

One for the girls

I am using the lovely Ice Cream Butterfly image from Belles N Whistles.

For the inside of my card, I used Ladybug grass. It's really a great stamp for backgrounds. :)
Card size is 5 1/2" x 5 1/2".
Papers are Basic Grey and PTI.

Sadly, this is my last post as a Belles N Whistles DT member.
Thank you to Summer for having me as one of her DTs.
To the rest of my BnW sisters (including those in the past)
the sentiment on the card sums it up best. :)

Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you may leave!
Have a wonderful day!

Wishing You A Fairy Happy Birthday

Hi there, Lynda here, with a little gift tag to share with you today!  I'm actually traveling at the moment, so of course this post is prepared ahead of time...  LOL

I am going to keep this fairly short and sweet, but to the point.  It's been a while since I've used, or even seen these sweet Belles 'n Whistles Fairies used.  Of course they do tend to be more of a "Spring/Summer" type of stamp, but I couldn't resist.  My last post showed that sweet little Clown, in cheery colors, and I'm still in that mood to create with lots of color.  So here we go.....  We've got lots of color and a sweet little Fairy birthday gift tag, using "Fairy Wishes".

Copic's were used to color this darling fairy, as well as some Stampin' Up markers for the fine thin lines in the green leaf.  I used silk flowers and a button to embellish, and some light blue "bling".
The opposite side of this gift tag simply says "To The Birthday Girl:  and - with love from:

Thanks for stopping by, and taking a look at my gift tag using  "Fairy Wishes" from Belles 'n Whistles "Fairy Friends Collection"

Birthday Celebrations

Greetings Belles 'n Whistles friends!!!

Is anyone else feeling a little bit "Blahhhhh" from the dreary winter months?  I know that I am!  I have decided to create something with lots and LOTS of bright cheery colors, to try to help overcome these dull winter days!  What better way than to create a birthday card?

I used "Clowning Around" from the Forever Young collection!  I truly did feel like I was clowning around while making this vividly colored card.  Sometimes it's fun just to do things sort of random.

I colored this little cutie with copics, and even did a little bit of 3D work there.  I probably should have taken a picture on an angle to show you.  But the adorable red clown nose, big bow tie, and the puffy green balls on the front of this bright clown suit are all lifted on pop-dots.  The multi-colored flower petals are 3D as well, this seems to be more noticable.

I created my own flowers, and actually colored them with random copic colors, to match the crazy flower that this cute little clown is holding.   The sentiment is digital, and available in the Belles 'n Whistles Store under "Word Art".

Thanks so much for stopping by today, I hope that my "Clowning Around" card has brought a smile to your face, and a little cheer to your day!

So for my BnW family -  here's a little card for you with a lot of LOVE and keep up the amazing work that you do ladies! I coloured the cute image "Jam Jars" with my copics.

Welcome Baby!

Greetings BnW friends,
I can't believe the weekend is over, and here we are, another Monday!  We just posted a new challenge last week over at the Belles 'n Whistles Challenge Blog, and a week has passed already.  Where does the time go?

Over the weekend, I was playing with some baby announcement ideas, so I thought it would be great to share what I've created here today.

I actually made a total of 10 of these birth announcements, but silly me, didn't photograph the whole group of them.  These cards do not open, but instead, you turn it over to read the birth announcement information.  I do have a photo of the front and back of them, so you can see.

I kept the back side pretty simple, since I didn't want to have anything distracting from the information that will be written there.  =)

The papers that I used are basic cardstock, and the blue shading was created using Stampin' Up ink, in Bordering Blue, and Brocade Blue.  I used navy blue embossing powder randomly around the edges, and then a touch of paint to add to my "distressed look".   The oval frame cut from nestabilities, is water color paper, inked with Distress inks, as well as some gold colored perfect pearl powder, and sprayed with a mist of water.  How about that GORGEOUS Baby???  I remember when this first arrived on my doorstep, I went crazy... This has got to be the most beautiful of all baby stamps I've seen.  "Sweet Dreams" truly is Sweet, whether it's used for either a boy or a girl!!!

I love how Elisabeth Bell has captured that sweet innocent look, and so life like too.  Simply Precious!  Wouldn't you agree?

I hope that you have been inspired today!
Thanks so much for stopping by.
